Sergio Simone
Registered Financial Advisor
Sergio Simone started his career in the financial services industry in 1979 mainly in the distribution of investment products. In 2000 Sergio formed RJS Private Wealth Management, a firm specializing in the distribution of hedge funds to retail and institutional investors. Over a period of 2 years the firm was managing in excess of $150 million of hedge fund assets, both individually and institutionally.
Many people considered Sergio a figurehead for the Canadian Hedge Fund industry and one of Canada’s leading authorities on alternative investment strategies. In 2002 he entered into a joint venture with Jovian Capital Corporation to launch the Pescara Fund of Funds, a Multi-manager, Multi-strategy fund of funds specializing in Canadian underlying managers. Sergio became the Chief Alternative Asset Strategist for Felcom Management Corporation, the Portfolio Manager for the Pescara Fund of Funds, where he chaired a six member investment committee to manage the hedge fund. In its inaugural year The Pescara Fund of Funds led all other Canadian Multi-Manager, Multi-Strategy funds with a 12.52% return.
During his tenure with Jovian Capital, Sergio, a director of the International Hedge Fund Association, was elected as the founding president of the Canadian Chapter of the Hedge Fund Association. Providing Alternative Investment education to advisors and investors became one of his main ambitions and goals. To that end he was responsible for creating and chairing a committee of Canada’s premier hedge fund personalities who, along with Strategy Institute created the Certified Hedge Fund Specialist Course.
As a by-product of his position in the Canadian Hedge Fund industry, Sergio was inundated to make public speaking appearances, write articles, consult with Mutual Fund companies on hedge fund development and join a variety of Hedge Fund related boards.
In 2006 Sergio established a private practice in the hamlet of Kleinburg, Ontario to provide hands-on financial advice to a few select high net-worth clients.

Kristina de Souza, CFP
Registered Financial Advisor and Licensed Insurance Agent
Kristina completed her studies at the University of Guelph in 2009, achieving a Bachelor of Arts degree, with Honours in Psychology. During her studies in Guelph, she completed an undergraduate thesis project in the Child Development Research Unit.
Upon graduating from university, Kristina began working at Kleinburg Private Wealth Management. It did not take long for her to realize this was the career path she wanted to pursue. In 2011, she completed her first industry course, the Canadian Securities Course, and shortly thereafter became a fully licenced and practicing mutual fund representative. Shortly thereafter, she successfully completed the Life License Qualification Program, achieving the LLQP full-life license. This was only the beginning of a decade-long period of tackling industry courses. Through her ongoing studies she has completed the Branch Managers Course, obtained a Certificate in Advanced Mutual Funds Advice as well as a Certificate in Advanced Financial Advice. Kristina is fully licensed to offer advice on various forms of investments and insurance including the following: Life, Disability, Employee Benefits, Accident and Sickness and Critical Illness Insurances. Her most recent achievement has been obtaining the Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation. Kristina’s passion for learning has been an asset to her success in this dynamic industry. She plans to continue to take various courses throughout her career as she feels information and knowledge will be the keys to her success as an advisor.
She argues that her greatest achievements of all are her 3 young daughters who help keep her grounded and (very) busy. Kristina is grateful to be a part of an industry that has enabled her to grow professionally and pursue her passion, all while still maintaining what she feels is most important—her family.
Along with her continuing education Kristina spends her professional time writing articles, analyzing global macro events while staying abreast of the markets through constant research. In her free time Kristina enjoys working out, enjoying the outdoors, travelling, and spending time with her family
